It is often hard to see the potential in your own environment. To be able to reveal this potential, it is often best to find help on the outside. During the more then 15 years that we, the iCore personnel, have been active on the market of B2B integration, we have gathered a vast experience from various levels of business integration. All the way from the strategic problems on the management side to the daily issues at the IT departments when supporting and solving business demands.
The pre-study should provide a basis for the decision making. There are two types of pre-studies. The first type is done in advance and describes a business problem. In this type of pre-study, the technical parts are described briefly. The focus is on revealing the business potential. The second type of pre-study, is done to describe the potential of the IT-environment. This contains more technical details and is often performed at the beginning of an implementation project.
The pre-study contains information such as: (this may vary depending on type of pre-study)
- Business process
Describes how the process is conducted today and, from that, shows how business processes may be automated and simplified. This part of the description determines the security levels, like tracking and tracing and alarm facilities, which will help you gain better control and work more efficiently. - System overview
Description of the IT-infrastructure. Both hardware and software infrastructure is described on the appropriate level for the project. - EAI strategy
How can a strategic EAI solution supporting your business be achieved step-by-step? How do we as a company need to think and act to reach this? - ROI/TCO
On what level are your efforts to measured? - Goals
It is vital in all pre-studies to specify the purpose, describe the background, define the scope and describe the goals/targets.
On site or as desktop studies.
Our pre-studies can be performed in various ways. All depending on the level of ambition. The time required to conduct a pre-study depends on the type and on the the amount of participation by staff from your own organisation.
