IRO replaces old EDI solution with iCore
As a manufacturing company, IRO have always depended on having
efficient tools for business communication with customers,
suppliers and subcontractors. Thus, the company has been using EDI
for a long time. In addition to the external EDI communication,
electronic messages have also been regularly exchanged with the
other subsidiaries in the Van de Viele Group, to which IRO
belongs.
Recently, it became obvious that the old solution, based on
Amtrix, had become obsolete and could not fulfill future
requirements. IRO chose iCore Integration Suite (iCIS) to replace
it. The decision was made easy by the fact that configured data in
the old solution is easily migrated to iCIS. The new solution will
integrate the business communication with ERP system M3/Movex.
Another benefit with the iCore platform is that it will enable
IRO to gradually phase out the existing BizTalk server, which
presently manages the EDI communication with the other subsidiaries
in the Group.
Project managers for the configuration and implementation of the
new solution are EPAM (www.epam.com).
