Important information regarding communication with MS Office 365 / Exchange online
In October 2022, Microsoft will implement changes in Office 365 / Exchange Online that require you to make manual updates of integration flows that use communication with Office 365.
For security reasons, Microsoft removes the option to use "basic authentication" to authenticate with Office 365 / Exchange online. Instead, all users must use "modern authentication", a more secure method which is based on an Oauth 2.0 flow that uses certificates and client secrets.
What do you need to do?
We will soon release an update of iCore Integration Suite that includes new functionality that supports modern authentication for Office 365 in our email activities and Script objects. When the update is available, you need to do the following:
- Configure permissions to send and receive mail in the application where authentication is performed(e.g. Azure AD).
- Download and install the new version of iCIS.
- Manually make changes to all Component definitions in iCIS that use activities and objects that communicate with Office 365. We will publish detailed information about the activities and objects that are affected.
NOTE - Plan to do this work well in advance of the change in October. We will make regular updates to this page, so we recommend you bookmark it!
