Seminar about integration and artificial intelligence

During the autumn, students from Chalmers University are co-operating with iCore on a research project with the aim to investigate the use of AI to automate integration of enterprise information systems. The students running the project, Gustav Hansson and Marcus Birgersson, presented their findings so far at a seminar at SICS in Kista on October 23rd, 2015.

Gustav and Marcus are investigating two complementary approaches to create automated mappings between data formats: The first approach uses training data to create a conditional probability distribution for how likely a given mapping is. The second approach separates the longer strings of the full data formats into shorter words and creates a conditional mapping probability between each word, thereby enabling learning from training data which only partially resembles the evaluation data.

The research project will continue throughout the year and eventually result in a master thesis scheduled for publication in early 2016.
